Former Normal Counselor Sentenced

A former counselor of Project Oz in Normal was sentenced Wednesday to a total of 10 years in prison. 34 year old Frank McSwain, Junior received 7 years for aggravated criminal sexual abuse and three more years for failure to register as a sex offender. These charges date back to 2008 and 2010. McSwain was accused of assaulting two former students at Normal Community High School while he worked as a counselor in 2006 and 2007. He also pleaded guilty to violating the sex offenders registration terms after being convicted of possession of child pornography. He was accused of possessing five photos of a partially clad student he met while a counselor at Project Oz.
