Garbage Truck Kills Chillicothe Man on the Job

PEORIA COUNTY- A 51-year-old Chillicothe Man dies on the job today.
The Peoria County Coroner says Harvey Smith was working for Wigand Disposal just before 9 a.m. this morning on Mendell Road in Princeville Township.
When Smith was working outside of his truck, it rolled down a ditch and onto him.
Neighbors called 9-1-1 when Smith called out for help.
Smith was pronounced dead just after 10:30 a.m.
The Peoria County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.
