Peoria Toddler Found Dead Under Dresser

PEORIA- Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says a toddler was found dead under a dresser in her home today.
The coroner says one year old Ava Shiflet's mother, Amber, put Ava in her bedroom around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon.
When Shiflet checked on her later, she found the toddler under an overturned three drawer dresser.
Ava was later pronounced dead.
She lived with her mother in the 1700 Block of West Candletree Drive in Peoria.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow.
