Normal Resident Nabbed Suspected Burglar

A Normal resident, Jason Payne,  was formally charged Tuesday with burglary after police say Payne had reportedly climbed the ladder to gain roof access of Huck's gas station on Hershey about midnight. According to our news partner WJBC Radio, an employee of the gas station called police to report the incident. Police responded and a foot chase ensued. According to WJBC Radio, the store employee told police Payne had been to the store previously in hopes of hiding until the store closed at which time he would have unchecked access to the beer cooler.
