Pekin's West Campus Named Endangered Historic Place

PEORIA - Pekin's shuttered West Campus is on the list of Illinois' top ten most endangered historic places.
Landmarks Illinois releases the list every year. This year, it's giving special attention to five endangered neighborhood schools. Landmarks Illinois is lobbying the Illinois General Assembly to pass a bill that would provide money to school districts to renovate existing school buildings rather than build new.
Pekin's west campus has been partially demolished. A group of activists is trying to save it.
