One man is dead and another is recovering from injuries after a shooting in McLean County Saturday.

Deputies were called to Colonial Meadows Subdivision in Bloomington just before 10:30.

Upon arrival officers found one man shot.

They say the suspect fled the scene in his truck.

Officers chased the suspect through the Twin Cities until he stopped on North Veterans Parkway.

But he didn't get out of his truck.

Officers had to pull the suspect from the vehicle, at which point they discovered he had died.

Meantime, the incident isn't sitting well with neighbors and their kids.

"My eyes will be open a whole lot more than they were before and while (my children) don't like the fact that I keep those tight reigns, I'm sure my reigns will be even tighter now," said neighbor Kelly Upton.

Officers did find a gun in the suspect's car.

The McLean County Sheriff says the two men knew each other but he's not sure how.
