U.S. Coast Guard Commander Celebrates 40 Years of Service

PEORIA-A United States Military Coast Guard Commander celebrated a major
milestone tonight.
Auxiliary Flotilla
Commander Langhorne M. Radeke celebrated 40 years of service.
She
commands the Flotilla 08-01. She received several awards for her years of
service at the Coast Guard station in East Peoria.
She goes by
"Langy" and joined the Coast Guard in 1972.
She is still active in her
volunteer service in the Peoria area and also in Water Operations.
Radeke plans
to keep volunteering for the Coast Guard for as long as she can.
"I love to be out on
the boats. I love to be out on the water. It's just something that I can continue
to achieve and use my education," said Radeke.
