PEKIN- Pekin is set to vote on an apparent agreement with an unhappy union.
Teamsters Local 627 and the city have been in heated negotiations for several weeks.
A motion to approve terms and conditions of an agreement between the city and the union is listed on next week's Pekin city council agenda.
Pekin city manager Joe Wuellner would not comment on the vote or agenda item.
Last month, Teamsters Local 627 filed a notice to strike against the city and an unfair labor practice charge with the Illinois Labor Relations Board.
The city and the union are negotiating terms in the fourth year of a five year contract. The Pekin city council meeting will take place next Monday.
