LOS ANGELES - Television personality Dick Clark has died of an apparent heart attack in Los Angeles, California. He was 82.
Spokesman Paul Shefrin said the "American Bandstand" creator had a heart attack Wednesday morning at Saint John's hospital in Santa Monica, a day after he was admitted for an outpatient procedure.
Clark is best known for long-running television shows such as "American Bandstand" and "Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve."
