A Pekin woman, charged in connection with the death of a Pekin teenager last year was sentenced Friday to jail. 48 year old Sandi Klawer, who was originally charged with permitting a violation of the liquor control act, received six months in jail but only has to serve three months at this time. She was also put on 30 months probation. The case stems from the death of Breann Scheiner who was found dead in her Sapp Street home last year. Preliminary autopsy results showed she died from asphyxiation due to alcohol intoxication and alcohol poisoning. Prosecutors claim Paul Klawer gave Robert Tomlinson 20 dollars to buy a bottle of vodka. Tomlinson allegedly bought the alcohol and drank it with Paul Klawer, Scheiner and two minors. Paul Klawer and Tomlinson have already been sentenced for their roles in the crime.
