Help Name Downtown East Peoria Development

EAST PEORIA--A local city is asking for your help naming its new downtown area.
East Peoria is sponsoring a contest to name the area that will feature the new Fondulac Library, Civic Plaza, and Target and Costco stores.
City officials say they're hoping members of the community can give the new mixed-use area a creative name.
"We really really want the residents to feel like this is the new heart of East Peoria and the new downtown and be excited about it and embrace it," says Jill Peterson, City of East Peoria Spokesperson.
Submissions to the naming contest are due by 5 pm on Wednesday, March 7th.
City Council will judge all entries and announce the winner shortly thereafter.
All submissions must include name, address, daytime phone number, and email address.
