WMBD/WYZZ-TV - PEORIA, Ill. -- Bruce Weber thought his super sophomore was being distracted by talk of a potential bolt to the NBA.

He may not be distracted.

Meyers Leonard scored 19 points and added 16 rebounds as Illinois beat pesky Cornell 64-60 at the Assembly Hall Monday. Illinois (11-1) didn't have a second-half lead until the final seven minutes of the game.

D.J. Richardson scored 17 points for the Illini, who were trying rebound from the first loss of the season Saturday. Cornell (4-4) led for most of the game.
