EAST PEORIA - You might want to get out your Christmas wish lists.
Santa Claus has come to town! He arrived at Bass Pro Shops in East Peoria this weekend.
It was part of the retailer's Santa's Wonderland event.
Choirs and children groups sang Christmas carols. Bass Pro lit up its large Christmas tree in its main entrance. And customers ate cookies and hot chocolate.
WMBD's Bob Larson hosted the festivities Saturday evening.
Santa says he's pleased with how the new store is ringing in the holidays.
"My elves did a fine job of trying to find an opening place for the kids to come out, have a good time playing and visit Santa," he says.
Santa will be at Bass Pro through Christmas Eve. Kids are invited to visit him.
Every day they can also make crafts and decorations for free.
