WMBD/WYZZ TV - It took 12 innings, but the Peoria Chiefs got back in the win column Sunday, taking down Kane County 9-7. Catcher Blake Lalli went 2-for-6 at the plate, but both his hits put Peoria in front - including an 2-RBI double in the 12th inning that provided the winning margin.
Right-hander Charlie Platt, who met the Chiefs at the stadium before the game after being promoted from extended spring training, pitched the final two innings for his first win of the year.
The Chiefs (9-6) rallied three times in the game before eventually getting the win.
