Pekin Councilman Neumann Resigns

PEKIN - Pekin city councilman John Neumann is resigning.
Neumann was arrested last weekend for allegedly hitting a police officer with his car. Police say the officer was trying to prevent Neumann from driving through a barricade.
Neumann is charged with felony aggravated battery to a police officer.
The Pekin city council will officially accept his resignation during its meeting next week.
