As a native of St. Louis, MO, I've covered sports in four different states in the past six years, and now I'm proud to add Illinois to the list.

I graduated from the University of Missouri school of Journalism in Columbia, MO in 2008.  While in school, I worked at KOMU, the NBC affiliate, as a news and sports reporter. I was fortunate to interview coaching legends, Olympians, and major league baseball players.

Then I spent three years in Sioux City, Iowa, where I served as a sports reporter and then became the Weekend Sports Anchor at KTIV., the NBC affiliate.  In my time there, I was a part of a news and sports team that won four Emmys, which had previously never been done in the stations history.  I also won an Iowa Broadcast News Association award for a story I did on a little league team full of children with mental and physical disabilities.

Now I'm thrilled to be living and working in central Illinois. Outside of work, I love watching movies, cooking, (and eating!) playing golf, and cheering for my Tigers and the St. Louis Cardinals.

I'm always excited to meet and talk to new people.  That is my favorite part about this job.  If you have any questions,  want to shoot me a story idea, or just want to say hello,  then give me a holler at mklos@wmbd.com.
