A Peoria man, who has a criminal record dating back eight years, was indicted Tuesday for a holdup last month at Flat Top Grill. 30 year old Samuel F. Stewart is charged with armed robbery and burglary in connection with the June 27th stickup. Police say three armed men robbed the business after forcing the employees into the cooler after the business closed for the night. Authorities say Stewart is being held in Rock Island on another crime. Court records indicate Stewart has done prison time for retail theft and a weapons charge.
