Advocate BroMenn Taking Action for the United Way

Print Article

NORMAL - Advocate BroMenn Medical Center is kicking off its pacesetter campaign for the United Way of McLean County.

This year's goal is $40,000.

Hospital staff will spend 12 days raising money.

Their efforts are meant to set the bar before the rest of McLean County begins fund-raising.

The United Way is using donations this year to especially highlight the needs in education.

"It's not that we're going in trying to tell teachers how to teach.  That's not it.  We're trying to bring everyone together to catch the kids who fall through the cracks," says United Way President Greg Cott.

Advocate BroMenn's pacesetter campaign ends August 6.

The community-wide campaign begins August 25.
