    WMBD/WYZZ-- LIVINGSTON COUNTY-- A Fairbury firefighter was killed while battling a house fire Tuesday night in Livingston County.  The fire ravaged a home on Watson Street in the town of Forrest just before 8 p.m. The Livingston County Coroner’s Office identifies the firefighter as 24-year-old, Brian Munz.

     WMBD/WYZZ-TV—PEORIA COUNTY--The safety of our local State parks is at risk, now that the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) faces a $14-million  budget cut, say representatives of Conservation Officers Union.

      People are skipping out on expensive trips to enjoy animals native to Illinois instead, but they may soon find there are no conservation officers at Wild Life Prairie State Park, or Jubilee State Park, to keep them safe.

    “Inside the parks themselves crime has increased over the last 5-10 years,”  said Conservation Officer Representative Teresa Heisel.
