Elmwood

Elmwood is a city with small town values and big city opportunities. Our pioneer heritage and our enterprising values give us the initiative to reach out to families seeking relocation into a central Illinois community. Elmwood is that community.
Elmwood is a community that respects agricultural tradition as we progress into the future with further development in the region. With it's tree-lined streets is a clean, friendly, prosperous, proud community. Elmwood is located close to larger cities that offer cultural and entertainment variety, yet is far enough away to offer a serene haven to individuals and families.
Elmwood is the birthplace of the sculptor Lorado Taft and is host to some of his works. The most notable is the statue called "The Pioneers," which is situated in the town's central park.
Elmwood also hosts an annual Strawberry Festival the first Saturday in June. Visitors can eat a variety of strawberry desserts, stroll through a craft fair and classic car show, and enjoy local talent and musical groups on the bandstand.
