I have friends that have installed UV lights on their furnace. What are they for and why do I need one?
UV is the abbreviation for ultraviolet. Located in the return or supply air ducts from the heating and cooling system helps eliminate (kills) a very high percentage of airborne bacteria’s and germs that pass over the UV light in the ductwork. The UV also helps eliminate mold, mildew, and other contaminates from the drain pan and coil surface. Our recommendation is to install a Non-ozone UV light. |
