Reported by: Rob Coons - WMBD/WYZZ TV Saturday, Jun 14, 2008 @11:07pm CDT WMBD/WYZZ TV - NORMAL -- Stacey Nuveman and Jessica Mendoza each homered, and Cat Osterman was dominant in the circle as the U.S. Olympic Softball team crushed the Bloomington Lady Hearts, 19-0, in an exhibition Saturday night at Champions Field. The game was called after four innings. In the first game of a split doubleheader, Team USA beat the NPF All-Stars 6-0 behind the pitching of Jennie Finch. The games were part of the Bound for Bejing Tour, a warm-up for August's Olympic games. |
