PEORIA - A Peoria house fire causes $15,000 in damages and is under investigation.

Firefighters were dispatched to the house in the 2600 block of North Missouri just before 12:30 a.m. on reports of smoke coming out of the attic.

They found a small fire in the kitchen that had moved into one of the bedrooms. They made quick work of the flames. The fire was under control just minutes later.

The house was unoccupied a the time of the fire.
