Good thing they had some extra electricity in the end. After blowing a 3-0 lead, the Rivermen beat San Antonio 5-4 in a shootout in American Hockey League action Thursday. The Rivermen led 2-0 with about eight minutes left in the first period when the lights in the arena went dim. The game was delayed about 30 minutes before the lights were restored to full power. Julian Talbot's first goal of the season made it 3-0 in the second period. But the Rampage scored three consecutive goals to tie. And then with 2:15 remaining in regulation to force the overtime. The game was tied 4-4 through overtime and the Rivermen outscored San Antonio in a 6-player shootout. |
