Reported by: WMBD/WYZZ TV - Sarah Barwacz Thursday, Nov 5, 2009 @05:36pm CST PEORIA - A local teen's class assignment turns into an 84-page-book. Now a junior high student, 13-year-old Haley Armitage, first got a writing assignment at Jefferson Elementary School. Within six months, her short story became a magical book about a sixth-grade-girl who rescued a town of elves. Ironically, Armitage didn't like writing until she was diagnosed with ADD, and once on medication her love of reading and writing came out. If you want to read a copy of Into the Realm of Elfrelmey, you can get a copy at Barnes and Nobles, Borders, and Amazon. |
