Reported by: WMBD/WYZZ-TV STAFF Tuesday, Nov 3, 2009 @09:14pm CST WMBD/WYZZ-TV - NORMAL, Ill. -- Senior guard Maggie Krick scored 23 points and was one four players to score in double figures as Illinois State routed Kentucky Wesleyan, 100-51, in a womens exhibition basketball game at Redbird Arena Tuesday night.
Krick converted 9-of-15 shot attempts and nearly notched a triple-double with nine assists and eight rebounds. Ashleen Bracey (21), Nicolle Lewis (17) and Hannah Spanich (14) joined Krick in double digits as the Redbirds outshot the Panthers 57.4 percent-to-27.9 percent. Lewis grabbed a game-high 11 boards to finish with a double-double, part of a 49-to-28 edge on the glass for Illinois State, which was playing its first exhibition game of the season. |
