Reported by: WMBD/WYZZ TV - Sarah Barwacz Tuesday, Nov 3, 2009 @05:05pm CST PEKIN - A local program is taking action to stop teen driving deaths. Six Tazewell County law enforcement agencies are going through alcohol enforcement training as part of the "Tazewell Teen Intiative." The program began several years ago after fifteen teens died in a span of fifteen months in car accidents. For two days, officers and community members will learn about ID checks, party patrols, and DUI prevention. Then the 'no alcohol' message will be taken to the schools. This is the third year for the grant funded program.
