Tuesday, Nov 3, 2009 @03:58pm CST One of two suspects, nabbed in connection with a carjacking and shooting on Peoria's south side earlier this year, pleaded guilty Tuesday just as his trial was about to begin. 25 year old Julio Perkins pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon while other charges were dismissed. He'll be sentenced December 14th. Meantime, 25 year old Shalimar Berry is named in a seven count indictment for the same incident on Saratoga. She's in court Thursday. Police say they responded to a call, found Berry firing a gun at one of the carjacking victims who was hit in the knee. Police fired back at Berry but she wasn't hit.
