A Bloomington father, indicted for the killing of his 14 month old daughter last summer, will undergo a second fitness exam prior to his trial. Prosecutors Tuesday asked for more time to allow a second expert to exam 47 year old Thomas Meece. He has pleaded NOT GUILTY to three counts of murder for the death of Erika Meece. The coroner says the child died of blunt force trauma to the head. Police say they responded to a call that Thomas Meece was using a baseball bat to break glass. Officers say they were forced to use a taser and pepper spray when Meece refused to put down the bat. Meece is being held on a million dollar bond and will be back in court December 21st.
