Reported by: WMBD/WYZZ Friday, Oct 30, 2009 @05:24pm CDT PEORIA -- Statewide Adequate Yearly Progress numbers are released today, and fewer Illinois schools are meeting the standards.
Adequate Yearly Progress tests measure if school districts are meeting "No Child Left Behind" requirements set by the federal government. Locally Dunlap and Districts 51, 52, 108, 98 and 709 are all meeting AYP standards. But Districts 150, 87, 50, 308 and 303, as well as Unit 5, are all falling short.
