Reported by: Iris Pérez - WMBD/WYZZ Tuesday, Oct 27, 2009 @04:18pm CDT PEORIA - It could be a big pay out for a former Tazewell County jail inmate.
The County Board will vote Wednesday to secure $175,000 to Becky Behm. Behm was arrested last October for drunk driving. While in custody, two correctional officers were accused of physically abusing Behm. The sergeant on duty is also being accused of wrongdoing. An investigative committee looked into the conduct of the officers. All were found not guilty. Tazewell county Sheriff, Robert Huston, is appealing the decision. |
