PEORIA – The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announces that, weather permitting, work is scheduled to begin Thursday, October 22nd on northbound IL 29, north of Pekin.

Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures on northbound IL 29 from the vicinity of Kennedy Dr. to just north of IL 98. The lane closures are necessary for miscellaneous road work which is expected to take approximately two days to complete.

Please slow down, use caution and watch for workers and equipment while traveling through the work zone.
