PEORIA- A worker is struck and killed on Farmington Road Thursday morning.

Terra Engineering employee 28-year-old David Kim of Chicago was installing a traffic counter in the 2300 block of Farmington at 5:50 Thursday morning.

His truck with caution lights was parked on the east bound shoulder, while Kim was working on the west bound side of the road.

A man driving a Buick LaSabre heading east bound changed lanes and then struck and killed Kim.

Kim was wearing a reflective vest.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

The accident is still under investigation.
