WMBD/WYZZ-TV - CHAMPAIGN -- Keri Leach tossed a 4-hit shutout and homered to lead Olympia past Beecher 3-0 in the class 2A super-sectional at the University of Illinois. The win sends Olympia to state.

Leach doubled home a run in the first and homered in the sixth. She also blanked the defending state champs on four hits while striking out five.

Laura Caopy sinlged home the other run for the Spartans in the second inning. Olympia, the 2002 state champion, will play Morrison Friday at 4:30 in the state semifinals at EastSide Centre in East Peoria.
