WMBD/WYZZ-TV - PEORIA -- Bradley ran its winning streak to seven games and closed out a season-long 10-game home stand with a non-conference doubleheader sweep over Valparaiso Tuesday evening at O’Brien Field. Playing a pair of 7-inning games, Bradley took the opener 5-3 and earned the sweep with a 2-1 victory in the nightcap.

In the first game, Bradley's Dan Brewer hit his fifth home run of the season and senior right-hander Eitan Barbalat threw five effective innings to earn his third win of the year.

BU (24-19) sophomore second baseman Matt Fritz hit his first career home run in the second game, providing a needed insurance run in support of three Braves pitcher, who limited the Crusaders (13-27) to the lone run on four hits.
