WMBD/WYZZ TV - PEORIA -- The city of Peoria is asking you to get involved in the largest annual spring cleaning event, and they say all you have to do is take it one day at a time.

The mayor's litter committee met Tuesday morning to present the 2008 Litter Clean-up Campaign Kick-Off at City Hall. You can start cleaning up with the group Saturday, April 19, when they meet at Shea Stadium. They will have supplies and all you have to do is find an area in need of cleaning.
Committee members say if you don't have time to volunteer Saturday, then just make it your goal everyday to pick up at least one piece of litter.
