    WMBD/WYZZ TV - PEORIA --  Julian Talbot scored a hat trick as the Rivermen finished off a season-sweep of Lake Erie with a 5-2 win Friday night at Carver Arena.

    The rookie scored twice in the first period - helping Peoria open up a 3-0 lead - then again in the third to the delight of 7,763 fans.  Rookie goalie Ben Bishop recorded his first professional win and also logged nine penalty minutes for fighting during the contest.

    Meanwhile, the Bloomington PrairieThunder also scored three first-period goals in route to a 8-2 dismantling of Muskegon Friday night at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum.  The PrairieThunder set a franchis record for scoring and won its team-best 26th contest of the season.

    Leo Thomas and Brett Holmberg each scored twice, while Don Parsons added a goal and three assists.  Adam Edinger, Rod Aldoff and Sam Miller had one goal apiece.  Bloomington led 7-0 at one point in the contest.
