That would extend the deadline for last year's fiscal budget at a month-to-month basis until a new budget can be approved. State Senator Dan Rutherford says the money would be based on 2008 appropriation levels. He says this would continue funding service providers across the state until a new budget is passed. “This is to get us though temporarily until this is totally resolved. This is to keep the lights on and the doors from being slammed shut,” said Rutherford. House of representative members will be back at the state capitol Monday. Senators are back on Tuesday. |
