WMBD/WYZZ - PEORIA -- The deadline for farmers to turn in their acreage reports is approaching.

Officials at the Illinois Farm Service agency want to remind producers that acreage reports are due by July 15th.

Those numbers are required for farmer to participate in Direct and Counter-Cyclical Program, ACRE, SURE, Conservative Reserve Program, Non-insured Assistance Program, and to receive loan deficiency payments. Acreage Reports are also used to track cropping history for future program enrollment.

Pasture and grazed acreage must also be reported by July 15th to participate in a number of programs.

After the deadline, farmers will be charged a minimum late fee of $46 per farm.
