WMBD/WYZZ - PEORIA -- Entrepreneurial students at Bradley get a shot at making it big today.

The annual Project Springboard Competition gives out a prize package worth more than $120,000 to the winning team.
This is the third year for the competition.  The program started with a $200,000 grant from Alexis Khazzam of junction ventures.

Six teams competed this year, with project ideas ranging from an online classified service for students to a dog training service for people with disabilities.

The prize package includes a $10,000 cash prize and an additional $15,000 of seed capital. They also get office space at the Peoria Next Innovation Center, use of a new car from Saturn of Peoria, and legal, accounting and technology services.

More than 100 jobs have been created in the area from the companies that won the first two years of the project.  Judges say the competition keeps getting tighter.
