Reported by: WMBD/WYZZ TV Sports Staff Saturday, Jul 19, 2008 @09:54pm CDT WMBD/WYZZ TV - PEORIA -- Jonathan Wyatt doubled and scored on an error but it was the only run the Peoria Chiefs could manage in a 5-1 loss to Great Lakes Saturday night at O'Brien Field. Great Lakes scored in each of the first two innings off Peoria starter Robert Hernandez (1-2). Hernandez allowed five runs on six hits in five innings of work. He struck out four and walked two. Peoria (19-10, 49-48) managed six hits off Loons pitching, but could only scratch across the lone run in the fourth inning. The teams are scheduled to continue their series Sunday afternoon. |
