Now, on a national level, the program has landed more than 19,000 fugitives in jail. Earlier this month, Operation Falcon 2008 hit Peoria and McLean Counties. Attorney General Michael Mukasey and U.S. Marshals Service Director John Clark, says the program brought together 30 federal agencies and more than 1,400 sheriffs' and police departments. Clark says his year, they concentrated on arresting violent offenders, gang members and sex offenders. |
