Thursday, Feb 21, 2008 @06:54pm CST A McLean County man, charged with the July 13th holdup at Commerce Bank in Bloomington, has been sentenced in Peoria Federal District Court. According to the U.S. Attorney's office in Peoria, Darwin Hughes was sentenced to five years in prison. Authorities say Hughes told tellers at Commerce Bank he had a bomb as the teller handed over the money. Police say Hughes was picked up within 20 minutes of the holdup by two Bloomington policemen at Gridley and Oakland Streets.
