Lincoln Office Breaks Ground for
New Headquarters in East Peoria
(East Peoria, IL) On Friday, March 14, 2008, Lincoln Office took the first steps to constructing their new 35,000 sq ft headquarters in East Peoria. The company, which currently has offices in Peoria (7707 N. Knoxville) and Morton (77 Commerce Drive), has decided to combine these two offices in one location. The new building will house sales, design, service, warehouse and administration under one roof.
“A new building will allow Lincoln Office to enhance our effectiveness for our customers,” Bill Pape, President of Lincoln Office, said. “By bringing these departments together in one building, our communication and teamwork will be improved with greater efficiency. In addition, we look forward to strengthening our relationship with East Peoria and the area’s business community.”
The official groundbreaking took place at 205 Eastgate Drive, across from the entrance to Illinois Central College. Key dignitaries from East Peoria and the area attended, taking advantage of the opportunity to view architectural renderings and gain more details about the new headquarters. Financed by National City, the two-floor building is slated for completion by River City Construction in December of this year.
“National City Bank and its predecessor banks have been members of this community for over 125 years,” Doug Stewart, Regional President of National City, said. “Helping local businesses grow and expand is among the most gratifying things we do. In the case of Lincoln Office, it is a true partnership. We use their products in our business, and they utilize our services for their banking needs. It’s not about a transaction – it’s about a future.”
One of the largest office furniture dealerships in Illinois, Lincoln Office first opened as an office supply story in Lincoln, Illinois in 1935. Since then, the business has expanded to five locations. After the Peoria and Morton offices combine in East Peoria, there will be four (East Peoria, Bloomington, Moline, Illinois; and Crown Point, Indiana). Lincoln Office provides affordable workspace solutions and a wide range of products and services to help large and small businesses enhance their results.
