DUNLAP, IL – Green View Nursery, an expert in plants and landscaping, will host Holiday Open Houses on Saturday, November 1 and Saturday, November 8 for a sneak peak at this year’s designer theme trees, wreaths, garlands and greenery. Green View’s wonderful selection of ornaments, permanent pre-lit trees and other holiday decorations will also be on display.  Green View will also hold free holiday decorating seminars at 10am on Saturdays from November 8 through December 13. The Open Houses and seminars will take place at the Dunlap facility, located at 2700 West Cedar Hills Drive.  Seminars are free and open to the public. GREEN VIEW SUPPORTS LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS
THROUGHOUT THE HOLIDAY SEASON

DUNLAP, IL – Green View Nursery, an expert in plants and landscaping, will once again host a “Pets in Need Tree” and “Giving Tree” to give the public an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children & pets this holiday season. The trees will be displayed in Green View’s garden center, located at

Giving Tree

Starting November 1, 2008 Green View will have the “Giving Tree” on display at the Garden Center. The public can select an ornament from the tree with a child’s name, age and wish list. This is a wonderful way to make a difference in the life on an underprivileged child this holiday season.

Pets in Need Tree

Starting November 1, 2008 Green View will have the ‘Pets in Need’ Tree on display at the Garden Center. The public can select a dog or cat ornament off the tree and be that animal’s ‘Santa’ this year. The tree is a great opportunity to help animals at the ARK with items that they need to remain happy and healthy this holiday season. In-kind donations will be accepted for ARK through Saturday, December 20. Green View requests that monetary donations be sent directly to the ARK.

The public is invited to bring their children and pets to Green View to have their pictures taken with Santa for a $5 donation going to ARK. This is a great way for children to meet Santa while helping.

The Animal Recycling Kennel (ARK) of Lacon is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to caring for stray and injured animals and to coordinating adoptions of homeless animals by responsible pet owners. ARK also works to educate people about the humane care of and respect for animals, and operates a low-cost spay/neuter program. ARK is a no-kill shelter and funded solely by donations.
