<title><![CDATA[Monday Evening Weather Discussion]]></title>
<description><![CDATA[Two systems dumping snow across the nations mid section will converge as we head into our Monday evening and Tuesday, bringing heavy snow at times to central Illinois.&nbsp; A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect until 12 PM Wednesday.&nbsp; Snow has started falling across the area Monday afternoon.&nbsp; Heavy bands of snow can be expected as we reach into the late night/overnight hours Monday night.&nbsp; Tuesday morning will be a slow commute as heavy snow continues.&nbsp; 2-4 inches of snow can be expected by daybreak Tuesday morning, with another 2-4 inches Tuesday during the day.&nbsp; Total accumulation across the area should end up around 5-8 inches.<br>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[After some snow to finish the work week, things should stay quiet weather-wise for the weekend. Cloudy skies tonight will insulate us some, but lows will still be in the upper teens. Clouds stick around for Super Bowl Sunday as highs climb into the upper 20s. Snow chances move back into the forecast for Monday afternoon into Tuesday. Several inches of snow is not out of the realm of possibility, with highs in the 20s. A WINTER STORM WATCH is now in effect for Monday and Tuesday due to possible heavy snow. We&#39;ll bring you updates on this potentially big storm as they develop.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[A strong area of low pressure well to our south is gaining strength, and pulling in a lot of Gulf moisture Thursday, and will bring a few inches of snow to central Illinois for the morning rush hour Friday.&nbsp; Snow will start during the overnight Thursday night/Friday morning, and continue moderately through the morning and afternoon.&nbsp; 2-4&quot; of accumulation is likely across much of the area.&nbsp; Although it&#39;s not the biggest storm we have seen this year, it will cause headaches for commuters Friday morning with slick roads throughout the day.&nbsp; Lingering flurries will fall Saturday morning, but the bulk of the storm will be off to the east.&nbsp; Dry but cooler conditions will prevail for the weekend.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[High pressure digs in across the Midwest, keeping the central Illinois, and for the most part, Sunny.&nbsp; We will remain with few clouds through the overnight, but all of our attention moves towards Friday and Saturday, as a potent storm system moves in.&nbsp; Cold air will be in place early Friday morning for snow development across central Illinois, which will continue into Friday afternoon and evening, with some lingering light flurries early Saturday morning.&nbsp; There is a possibility that we may see a rain/snow mix on Friday, which would limit snowfall accumulations, but as of now it looks like central Illinois could be digging out of several inches of snow to start the weekend off.]]></description>
